Chengdu International Finance Square (Chengdu IFS or Chengdu IFS) is an urban complex built by Wharf Holdings on Hongxing Road, Jinjiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, People's Republic of China. The complex was modeled after Hong Kong's Harbour City and is currently the tallest skyscraper in Chengdu and a landmark building in the city. It has a total area of 760,000 square meters and cost RMB 17 billion to build. It includes two 248-meter-high, 50-story super-grade A office buildings with a total area of 290,000 square meters, [1] an 8-story shopping mall with a total area of 210,000 square meters, a hotel with 230 rooms, and a 76,000 square meter serviced apartment. The shopping mall opened in 2014, three office buildings opened between 2013 and 2015, the hotel opened in 2015, and the serviced apartment opened at the end of 2016. [2] The shopping mall inside is now one of the most luxurious shopping destinations in Chengdu, with many luxury brand stores such as Lane Crawford, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Armani. The panda sculpture “I am Here” on its exterior wall, designed by American artist Lawrence Argent, has also become a “net-famous” attraction in Chengdu in the mobile Internet era. [3]
